For children enrolled in other preschools and day care centers, our after-school program gives the opportunity to learn English in an international preschool environment. Our fun, comfortable classroom and professional teachers will ensure that your child’s English steadily improves. We offer three different types of lessons that may be taken in any combination, so children may attend up to three times a week.
Type A (Monday and Tuesday): Lessons based on Oxford University Press's Let's Begin, an English conversation curriculum for preschool learners. These lessons are customized to the needs of our students and supplemented with in-house materials.
Type B (Thursday and Friday): Lessons based on Longman's Supertots, an English conversation curriculum for preschool learners. These lessons are customized to the needs of our students and supplemented with in-house materials.
Type C (Wednesday): Lessons based on the alphabet. Each week we teach a different letter and do activities, games, and crafts related to that week's letter.
All three types of lessons feature lots of music and active, hands-on activities tailored to the developmental level of preschool children. We emphasize listening and speaking while gently introducing reading and writing. Children who take more than one type of lesson encounter overlapping concepts, which helps them review and reinforce what they are learning. We recommend multiple weekly lessons for children who have time.
Children who take these classes will be very well-prepared for their elementary years where our Kids' English classes give balanced emphasis to the four essential English skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
